Dance Pet Names

Here are some dancing terms that could be used as pet names. My favorites are Axel, Battu, and Mosh.

Axel - a type of jump
Ballo - an Italian dance in the 15th century
Ballotté - a step in ballet
Battu - in ballet, a movement with an extra beating of the feet
Bolero - a slow tempo Latin dance
Boogie-Woogie - a form of swing dance
Cha-cha - a Cuban dance style
Chasse - A dance steo with a triple step pattern
Conga - A Cuban line dance
Danzón - the official dance of Cuba
Do-si-do - a circular movement where two people walk around each other without turning
Fouetté - A type of twirl
Foxtrot - a bing band dance
Gancho - "Hook" in Spanish, it refers to hooking actions in some latin dances
Hula - a Polynesian Dance
Hustle - a type of disco dance
Jitterbug - a type of dance from the early 20th century
Jive - a dance style from the 1930s.
LeRoc - a form of modern Jive from the 1980s
Lindy Hop - a dance style from the 1920s & 1930s.
Mambo - a Cuban music genre and dance style
Maxixe - a Brazilian tango
Mosh - a hardcore punk dance
Minuet - a French dance from the 17th century
Musette - a French dance from the 17th & 18th century
Odissi - a dance that originated in Hindu temples of Odisha
Pirouette - A turn on one leg
Polka - a genre of music and dance of Czech origin
Releve - in ballet, rising onto the balls of your feet.
Rond - a ballet move where a straight leg draws a semi-circle on the floor.
Rumba - a dance style
Salsa - a Caribbean dance
Samba - a Brazilian dance
Sattriya - a Classical Indian dance
Tango - a South American dance
Vogue - stylized house dance
Waltz - a ballroom dance

Firework Pet Names

These firework terms are great for your little firecracker! My favorites are Comet, Rocket, Squib,and Sparks. Share your favorites in the comments!

Banger - an airbomb that stays on the ground and makes a loud noise.
Blinker - a ground based firework that flashes
Bombette - any number of shell effects
Brocade - makes a spider-like effect in the sky.
Cherry Bomb - a round, firecracker that is 1 inch in diameter
Chrysanthemum - makes a flower-like pattern in the sky
Comet - makes a long trail of sparks in the sky
Crackle - the sound made by many types of fireworks
Crossette - a comet that breaks into multiple comets
Dahlia - makes a starfish-life shape in the sky
Dud - a firework that fails to ignite
Firecracker - flash powder wrapped in paper
Firefly - makes a stroboscopic tail effect with many bright flashes of light
Flitter - a type of star that has bright flashes of light
Fuse - the part of a firework that you light
Gerb - a tube on the ground that creates a fountain of sparks
Glitter - a tail effect that has flashes of light and small explosive bursts
Goggles - eye protection worn by people who handle fireworks
Jumping Jacks - Jumping Jacks spin rapidly and emit red and green sparks
Kamuro - creates an effect like a willow
Lance - a 5 inch tube that burns for 1 minute
Peony - makes a spherical ball of colored lights in the sky
Punk - a bamboo stick with a brown coating that burns slowly.
Pyrotechnic - any item that burns to perform it's function.
Rocket - term for a a tube propelled into the sky
Salute - an item that explodes, usually aerial items
Snaps - paper balls that make a bang when thrown at something
Sparkler - a stick that creates sparks when lit
Sparks - given off by burning materials
Spinner - a type of firework that spins
Squib - slang for an electric match
Tadpole - make a bright wiggly effect with a tail
Visco - a waterproof fuse that is used to light fireworks
Whistle - small paper tubes that make a sharp howling sound
Willow - makes a giant gold willow tree in the sky

Finding Nemo & Finding Dory Pet Names

Although many of the names from these movies are fish-themed, some would work just fine for other types of pets too. My favorites are Destiny, Hank, and Squirt. Share your favorites in the comments!

Anchor - A vegetarian hammerhead shark that Marlin & Dory meet while searching for Nemo
Bailey - A Beluga whale that lived at the Marine Life Institute until he escaped while helping Dory find her parents. He now lives at the Great Barrier Reef with Dory.
Bloat - A Porcupine pufferfish that lived in a fish tank in a dentist's office, until he escaped.
Bruce - A great white shark and leader of the Fish-Friendly Sharks support group
Bubbles - Bubbles was a yellow tang fish that lived in the dentist's office that Nemo ended up in.
Charlie - Dory's father and husband of Jenny, he lived at the Marine Life Institute until Dory found and her mother. They now live at the Great Barrier Reef.
Chum - A mako shark that Marlin and Dory met while searching for Nemo.
Coral - Nemo's mother, and wife of Marlin, she was killed in a barracuda attack
Crush - A sea turtle that Marlin and Dory meet while searching for Nemo, and father of Squirt.
Darla - Niece of the dentist that caught Nemo, who often accidentally killed the fish he gave her.
Deb - A striped damsel fish that was owned by the dentist that caught Nemo, She thought her reflection was her sister Flo.
Destiny - Whale shark that lived at the Marine Life Institute and friend of Dory. She escaped is now part of Dory's extended family at the Great Barrier Reef
Dory - Dory is a blue tang fish with short term memory loss. She is the daughter of Jenny and Charlie. She helped Marlin find his son, Nemo.
Flo - Deb's reflection, whom she thought was her sister
Fluke - A sea lion that spent most of his time on a rock outside the Marine Life Institute with Rudder
Gerald - A sea lion that lives outside the Marine Life Institute. Fluke and Rudder are always yelling at him to stay off their rock.
Gill - A moorish idol who dreams of escaping from the dentist's fish tank
Gurgle - A royal gramma fish that lives in the dentist's fish tank until he escapes
Hank - An Octopus that lived at the Marine Life Institute who was missing a tentacle. He helped Dory find her parents, and eventually became substitute teacher in Nemo's class.
Jacques - A cleaner shrimp that lived in the dentist's fish tank
Jenny - Dory's mother and wife of Charlie. She lived at the Marine Life Institute then later moved to the Great Barrier Reef with Dory.
Marlin - A clownfish that lives at the Great Barrier Reef with his son Nemo. When Nemo was caught by a fisherman, He traveled all the way to Sydney to find him.
Nemo - A clownfish and son of Marlin and Coral. He had a bad fin. He was captured by a fisherman/dentist, but managed to escape.
Nigel - A seagull that lives in Sydney, who often visited the fish in the tank in the dentist's office.
Peach - A starfish that lived in the dentist's tank
Pearl - A pink flapjack octopus that lives at the Great Barrier Reef and goes to school with Nemo.
Ray - Mr. Ray was Nemo's teacher. He was a blue and white spotter eagle stingray.
Rudder - A sea lion that spend most of his time of a rock outside the Marine Life Institute with Fluke
Sheldon - A sea horse that was a classmate of Nemo
Squirt - A sea turtle and son of Crush.
Tad - One of Nemo's classmates
